Partnership at DrugFree & MLB

Play Healthy is a program created by The Partnership at Drugfree.org with the support of Major League Baseball Charities that is designed to help parents and other concerned and caring adults prevent Performance Enhancing Substance abuse by teens – especially teen athletes. The cornerstone of the program is the Play Healthy website. The site contains videos from professional athletes discussing the risks of PES and their reasons for not using, detailed facts about PES, a parent’s guide, and more.

About the Commissioner’s Play Healthy Award

The Commissioner’s Play Healthy Award was created to honor coaches and young athletes who are committed to playing healthy and who continuously show integrity both on and off the field. Each winner — one youth coach and one student athlete — will receive a trip for themselves and one special guest to New York City. Nominations for the award can be made at drugfree.org/playhealthy.
